"Online video, especially pre-roll, can be one of the most challenging ways to broadcast a brand message, with its history of having 'Skip This Ad' written all over it"

New York, August 5, 2013 - Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE: TRMR), a leading provider of technology-driven video advertising solutions, Advertising Age, the leading media brand for advertising, marketing and media news, and Creativity, the brand world’s daily destination for the most important and exciting creative work being done in advertising, design and digital creativity around the world, announced today the official launch of the Second Annual Super Creative Video Ad Challenge. The contest, which runs through September 15, 2013, challenges marketers to show the world how they can transform their video ads into immersive brand experiences that inspire viewers to actively engage with their messages.

The contest is open to any brand or advertiser that would like to experience the power of interactive digital video. Qualified entries will have the opportunity to work with Tremor Video’s Creative Services team, at no charge, to convert their existing :15 or :30 pre-roll video ads into a Super Pre-Roll or Super Pre-Roll Takeover. Any brand or advertiser with a pre-existing VPAID-compliant interactive pre-roll unit is invited to enter as well.

Tremor Video-produced units will be given a short flight on the Tremor Video media network, and all qualified entries will be placed in the contest’s gallery where visitors will vote on their super creative power, and name a People’s Choice Winner. Additionally, a panel of industry experts will vote separately to name a Judge’s Choice Winner. Each winning entry will receive a fabulous prize package. After reviewing over a hundred entries last year, Team Detroit was named the Judge’s Choice Winner for Ford Mustang, and Olson was the People’s Choice Winner for Miller Lite.

“It’s no secret that interactive pre-roll provides a better experience for consumers and better results for marketers, but creating it can be tough with limited resources,” said David Sanderson, Senior Director, Creative Strategy, Tremor Video. “We want to give advertisers a no-risk, no-cost opportunity to create ads that complement the interactive mediums where viewers watch video content. And, to show them how it drives engagement and brand love.”

“Online video, especially pre-roll, can be one of the most challenging ways to broadcast a brand message, with its history of having 'Skip This Ad' written all over it,” said Ann-Christine Diaz, Editor,Creativity. “Last year we saw how pre-roll video, with the help of some cool tools, can be a very fertile platform for innovation and consumer interaction. This year, once again we invite agencies and brands to help end the legacy of dull, ignorable messages with your engaging ideas.”
